Twenty-five to 30 dancers per night both move and speak. Each tells a story about their dance life and each dances in their own form and style of dance. The evening is a highly structured improvisation by these great dance artists who range in age from 20 to 80 and in style from ballet to hip-hop, modern to tap, Broadway to ethnic forms. Some of these stories will reflect on the 92nd Street Y’s 69-year history as a presenter of dance, and will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Harkness Dance Project.
60 dancers including Martine Van Hamel, Grover Dale, Lawrence Rhodes, Carmen de Lavallade, “Quickstep,” “Rockafella,” “Crutchmaster” Bill Shannon, Mary Anthony, Heidi Latsky, Ben Munisteri, Risa Jaroslow, and others.
