Squeeze Box Summary

In a show produced by Anne Bancroft, (“The Graduate”, “The Miracle Worker”), comedian/writer/actress Ann Randolph skillfully weaves together her experiences working in a women’s homeless shelter with her love affair with the accordionist of her dreams in this new Off-Broadway play. Using her elastic face and acrobatic voice, Randolph brings to life her tragicomic journey of discovery and self-acceptance. Squeeze Box illuminates the dignity and grace in unusual people and places and leads us to think upon the relationship between where we are and where we expect to be.

"A more provocative and intense Gilda Radner... writes from a place that few of us have been and dares us not to laugh." -Frontiers Magazine

"Through sweet humor, insight and compassion, Randolph elevates the spirit -- no small feat." -Minneapolis Star Tribune

"Randolph allows us to see ourselves in and among people who seem utterly removed from our urban existence." -LA Weekly
