The Coast of Utopia features 70 roles played by 46 actors, covering three decades of Russian life and history. Part 1 of the trilogy, Voyage, is Stoppard’s nod to Chekhov. It is set at a grand countryside estate and follows an extraordinary group of thinkers and writers as young men, including Michael Bakunin, Ivan Turgenev and the visionary leader Alexander Herzen.
