Ticket Buying Tip: For best availability, check Weekdays performances, including Wednesday matinees. Mezzanine seats are available for all performances. Seats in the Mezzanine offer a good view as they often are closer to the stage than what is available in the orchestra because the Mezzanine overhangs the orchestra. You might also want to consider onstage seating for all performances, including Wednesday matinees. Premium Seating is also available.

Inherit the Wind Summary

Inherit the Wind is a fictionalized retelling of the famous 1925 “Monkey Trial,” in which science teacher John Scopes was tried and convicted for teaching Darwin’s theory of evolution, violating a Tennessee law that forbade teaching any theory that conflicted with the Biblical conception of Divine Creation. Mr. Dennehy plays the role of attorney Matthew Harrison Brady (based on William Jennings Bryan), and Mr. Plummer plays attorney Henry Drummond (based on Clarence Darrow).
