Alcestis Ascending Summary

Euripides’s classic masterpiece receives a bilingual, rock-infused re-imagining in this first-ever co-production of the Cuban National Office of Scenic Arts, The University of Alabama and Company HavanaBama. Written and directed by Seth Panitch (Hell: Paradise Found; Dammit, Shakespeare!), Alcestis Ascending spins a thrilling tale of fate, self-absorption, sacrifice, and the redemptive power of love, through text, movement, and music.
